Before selling, figure out which category your items fall into, then decide whether to sell or hold.

Basic enhancement materials are sliding and not worth selling now

Leapstones, enhancement stones, red stones, and fodder materials have all been dropping in price across recent versions, and they no longer work as a source of gold.

Gems and relic books are the two most expensive items right now, but their prices swing hard, and selling early or late makes a big difference.

• A level 10 gem runs about 3.15 million gold, and a level 8 gem about 360,000 gold, putting them at the top of the auction house.
• Gem prices are drifting down overall. After Tier 4, gems give less honing value than talismans, so buying interest is fading.
• Relic books run about 160,000 gold each. They rose briefly after the Tier 4 books opened, and most guides suggest waiting a week or two for the pullback before selling.
• Top-quality ability stones and accessories also sell for a lot, on the exchange or in channel chat.

Auxiliary materials and collectibles earn a premium only when content keeps consuming them

Auxiliary materials and collectibles normally sit at ordinary prices, but once a stage of progression content consumes them heavily, prices climb.

• Auxiliary materials like Sun's Breath come from Chaos Gates. Players pushing progression during early phases buy a lot, and that is when selling earns the most.
• Auxiliary material prices are low at the end of a version and high after a new Legion Commander opens. Stocking up ahead of time captures that rise.
• Adventurer's Tome collectibles at blue rarity and above can be sold, and top-quality accessories and ability stones also fetch high prices on the exchange.
• Team auction materials from Chaos Gates and Field Bosses are a scattered but steady source of gold.

If you can read the consumption timing, these materials sell at a premium.

When selling materials in the current version, first tell apart what can go on the auction house and what is bound to your roster. What you can sell from daily content is mainly unbound Leapstones from Guardian Raids, plus the Destruction Stones and Guardian Stones without a binding tag.
