Gameplay
How High Is the Völva's Damage Output in Legend of Ymir?
The Völva is Legend of Ymir's magic damage class. All of its damage comes from spells, and the damage ceiling is not a fixed number. It is set by skills, mana, character development, and the fight environment. As a class role, the Völva is a ranged spellcaster. In practice, whether mana can keep up is what decides the real output.
Ranged Magic Damage Role
The Völva's damage style defines how its damage is built.
- All damage is magic damage, mostly area-of-effect, dealt from range.
- Skill level and loadout set the base damage; the higher the level, the higher the damage.
- The Völva does not need to fight up close; its damage comes from landing skills.
The Völva's damage is skill-driven. The smoother the skill rotation, the higher the damage.
Mana Is the Fuel
Every Völva skill costs mana, and mana management directly sets the damage ceiling. When mana runs low, skills cannot be cast and output stops. Carrying too much weight blocks mana recovery; once recovery stops, output falls with it. As mana stats build up, the skill rotation can keep going and damage can climb. Mana is the Völva's hard limit. If the supply cannot keep up, no amount of stats on paper will turn into damage.
Character Development Sets the Ceiling
How high the Völva's damage reaches comes down to character development.
- Gear, enhancement, and the Dísir pet raise base damage and mana sustain; these are the foundation of the output.
- Accuracy decides whether skills hit the target. Against high-level monsters late in the game, low accuracy makes skills miss.
- Skill cooldown keeps the AoE rotation running; the shorter the cooldown, the faster the clearing and burst.
The Völva's output has no fixed value. However far development goes, output stays at that level.
The Trade-off of the Fight Environment
Turning the Völva's damage into real output depends on the fight environment.
- The Völva casts from range; its position decides whether skills can be completed.
- When enemies close in, the casting window shrinks and output drops with it.
- Only by keeping distance can the output be fully realized.
Ranged output depends on the environment. Damage stays steady only when the position is safe.
The Völva's output is ranged magic damage. Its ceiling is set by four things together: skills, mana, character development, and the fight environment, not by a fixed number. Keep the skill rotation running, keep mana supplied, build the character properly, and hold position, and the Völva's output will keep climbing. To push the Völva's damage higher, solve the mana limit, keep a safe distance in actual fights.
