Fallout 76 How to Complete Blood Will Have Blood
Fallout 76's 2026 Halloween season, The Slasher, unfolds through a chain of quests that reveal clues about the Pint-Sized Slasher. Blood Will Have Blood is the final quest in the line, unlocked only after Masked Truth, Secrets to the Grave, and Out of the Shadows are complete. The core objective is to draw out the Reborn Pint-Sized Slasher through Head Hunts and defeat him. Clad in power armor and rated as a four-star legendary enemy, he brings high health and damage resistance, so proper preparation is essential.

Prerequisites
Blood Will Have Blood unlocks only after all required earlier quests are finished. Progress through them in the following order:
Masked Truth: listen to the "Breaking News" broadcast and collect 10 Pint-Sized Slasher masks from corpses.
Secrets to the Grave: earn Pint-Sized Phantoms' Maps through activities, dig up disturbed graves, and collect all four parts of the "Our Mission" notes.
Out of the Shadows: encounter Pint-Sized Phantoms as an active enemy group during Infestation events.
Only after these are done does Blood Will Have Blood appear in the quest list. Confirm every prerequisite is complete before joining Head Hunts, so a missing condition does not stall the story.
Quest Walkthrough
Once Blood Will Have Blood is unlocked, gather clues from the broadcast and look for the target during Head Hunts. The quest breaks into two stages.
Listen to the Warning Broadcast
Listen to the "A Warning" broadcast. The Reborn Pint-Sized Slasher narrates it while impersonating Remington Goodwin, addressing the hunters pursuing him. After listening, you receive the holotape "broadcast recording: a warning" in your inventory. This recording is a key clue for the steps ahead.
Join Head Hunts and Defeat the Target
Join a Head Hunt and defeat the designated target. Afterward, the Reborn Pint-Sized Slasher has a chance to appear as an uninvited guest. He does not show up every time, so several runs may be needed to trigger the encounter. Once he appears, defeat him within the time limit. The kill advances and completes Blood Will Have Blood.

The Enemy and Battle Preparation
The Reborn Pint-Sized Slasher fights far harder than a normal Head Hunt target. He is level 200, wears power armor, has roughly 430,000 health, and carries high damage resistance. His weapon is the Slasher Knife. Because the fight can drag on, bring plenty of ammo and healing items, and use a weapon setup suited to sustained damage. When he appears, the screen turns black and white with static, and a notice shows in the upper-left corner. Confirm his position and open fire right away. If the Reborn Pint-Sized Slasher is not defeated within about five minutes, he despawns on his own, so avoid wasting time during the fight. After Blood Will Have Blood is complete, he can still appear in later Head Hunts. Those later encounters no longer trigger the black-and-white effect seen during the first run.
Drops and Quest Rewards
Defeating the Reborn Pint-Sized Slasher yields legendary gear, unique weapon and plan rewards, and common supplies. The rewards are:
Four-star legendary gear and the unique weapon: a four-star legendary item drops at 95%, rising to 100% when the Super Slasher condition is not met. It can be a power armor piece or a weapon with random legendary effects. Super Slasher is a unique auto axe at 5%, available only while Blood Will Have Blood is active or complete.
Power armor paints and common supplies: the arms, legs, torso, and jetpack paint plans drop at 4% each, and the Pint-Sized Auto Axe Paint also drops at 4%. Common supplies include Rad-X, Stimpaks, chems, and other junk.
Completing Blood Will Have Blood itself also awards the Pint-Sized Slasher power armor helmet paint. This pairs with the other paint pieces dropped by the enemy to complete the full Pint-Sized Slasher power armor paint set.
The Slasher Season
The Slasher is part of Fallout 76's 2026 Halloween season, with its community events running through mid-to-late October. From October 20 to November 3, 2026, Pint-Sized Phantoms mix into Spooky Scorched groups, giving players a chance at seasonal rewards. Blood Will Have Blood picks up from the earlier quests and community events, centering the quest line's core objective on the Reborn Pint-Sized Slasher.
After finishing the earlier quests and listening to the designated broadcast, run Head Hunts patiently and finish the kill as soon as the Reborn Pint-Sized Slasher appears. Prepare the right weapons, ammo, and healing items beforehand, and watch for the on-screen cue and time limit when the target appears. A successful kill completes the seasonal quest and opens the chance for a four-star legendary item, the unique Super Slasher, and Pint-Sized Slasher power armor paint rewards.
