ARC Raiders Night Map Guide: How to Survive in the Dark?
The first time I loaded into a night map, I basically fought blind. All the landmarks I knew by heart during the day were unrecognizable the moment it got dark, and I'd walk two steps, get locked onto by a machine, then run the wrong way. It took a few more runs before I started to figure things out. A night map is a completely different game from the day version. Get a handle on visibility and sound, and you'll stay alive while hauling out a bigger backpack than everyone else.

How Night Maps Differ from Day Maps in ARC Raiders?
Same map, but once it's dark, a lot of things you ignore during the day become deadly.
- Less visibility: During the day you can see a mile out. At night you can only see the ground right around you, and by the time you spot an enemy it's already in your face.
- Sound is deadlier: In the dark, machines pick up on your noise way more. A few extra steps or a careless shot can pull the whole pack of machines onto you.
- Better loot: Night crates are fatter and the materials are better. Fewer people dare to go, so the good stuff actually stays put.
- Slower pace: Walk and stop, rely on your ears more than your eyes.
Put simply, night maps trade visibility for profit. Move slow and make fewer mistakes, and it pays better than daytime. Run it like a daytime rush and you're basically donating your gear.
How to Stay Hidden on Night Maps in ARC Raiders?
Surviving at night isn't about fighting, it's about not being seen.
- Walk instead of running: Running is loud. Taking the long way and hugging walls is safer than barging through.
- Holster your gun: You move faster, and quieter too.
- Save the cloak for the right moment: The Photoelectric Cloak only fools machines, not players, so don't burn it the second you walk in.
These all sound like small things, but doing them cuts the damage you take in half. Night maps aren't about who has the best gear, they're about who can keep their nerve.
How to Escape When You're Spotted at Night in ARC Raiders?
Don't panic when you get locked onto. The dark actually works in your favor, just break line of sight first and stop running in a straight line. Machines chase you through sustained lock-on, so cut two corners or duck behind a container and they'll drop you fast. Smoke grenades are at their best here. Toss one to break the lock and slip away in the opposite direction while they lose track of you. And learn the general direction of your extraction points ahead of time, because trying to find the way out in pitch black is basically a death sentence. One more thing, don't get greedy. The longer a fight drags on at night, the more machines pile in, so take your win and leave.

How to Pick Extraction Routes on Night Maps in ARC Raiders?
Once the loot's in your hands, whether it makes it out comes down to the extraction.
- Go for the closest point: The farther the extraction, the more machines you'll run into on the way. Don't chase the far one.
- The freight elevator sounds an alarm: Don't just hop on, wait until the area goes quiet.
- Keep a backup route: If you get blocked, going around beats forcing your way through.
When it comes to extraction, slow is fast. You already have the loot, so waiting an extra half minute costs you nothing, while one reckless push can send it all back.
Night maps get more addictive than daytime once you get the hang of them. Daytime is about aim and reflexes, night is about patience and judgment, every step has to be thought through. Run a few more, memorize the extraction and hiding spots on each map, and you'll watch your hauls get fatter and fatter. Don't be scared of the dark. The dark is your cover.
