ZZZ Account Progression: How to Build Your Account the Right Way?

Sep 18, 2026

I've watched plenty of friends slowly run their accounts into the ground. They pull a new agent, then can't afford to build them, and complain every day about running out of Dennies and upgrade materials. The thing about raising an account in Zenless Zone Zero is actually pretty simple once you see it: your resources are finite, and where you spend them decides your account's ceiling. I've raised a fair number of accounts since launch, and the biggest lesson I keep coming back to is that building an account well is rarely about how much you grind. It's about planning. With the same daily Battery, the player who allocates it right ends up with one squad that can clear hard content, while the player who doesn't spreads it across seven or eight agents and none of them can hold their own. Here's how I think about it.

Keep an Eye on Your Battery First

The first thing to get right is how much Battery you actually have each day, and where that Battery should go, because Battery is the scarcest resource in your entire progression.

This layer really just comes down to not letting your Battery sit idle. Every day it sits there is a day your account falls behind, and the gap between a good account and a struggling one is built one idle day at a time.

Getting Your Priorities Right Beats Grinding a Few Extra Hours

Where your Battery goes has an order to it. A lot of players build slowly not because they spend too little, but because they spend in the wrong order and dump their most important resources into the wrong stage.

Stick to this order and somewhere around level 40 you'll look up and realize you've suddenly got one squad that can clear content reliably, instead of a pile of half-finished agents.

The Daily and Weekly Routine You Don't Want to Miss

Half of account building is about timing, because some rewards refresh on a schedule and they're gone if you miss them. That's why the daily and weekly checklist is worth memorizing.

One more thing worth saying: stay away from starter accounts, account boosting, and anything that offers cheap Polychrome. The ban risk is real, and watching an account you spent months raising get wiped overnight is never worth it.

What I've found after doing this for a while is that raising an account well isn't a test of how much you can grind. It's a test of how much you can hold back. Hold back on early Drive Disc farming. Hold back on dumping resources into agents you'll never use. Hold back on those gray-market services. Do that, and your account fattens up on its own. Log in each day, clear your Battery and dailies, knock out your weekly bosses, Shiyu, and Hollow Zero every week, and let time do the rest. Accounts that grow slowly are the ones that hold up. The ones you rush always end up as a mess you have to dig yourself out of.
