Best Teams for Casual Players in ZZZ
The scariest thing in ZZZ isn't your build falling behind, it's your hands falling behind. Someone else strings a combo together like it's nothing, you panic and mash buttons, dodge turns into attack, and your parry is always half a beat late. I know a few people stuck on Shiyu Defense who reached the same conclusion: the character isn't weak, their hands are. The thing is, this game is actually pretty kind to casual players, as long as you build the right team. Here's which agents and teams cut your execution cost down to almost nothing.

Pick a low-effort main DPS and stop chasing the skill ceiling.
A low-effort DPS means a high floor and a big safety net, someone who still does damage when you mash, so casual players should stay away from characters that live or die on APM and frame timing.
- Ye Shunguang has a combo as simple as EAEEA into a held E, she's in invincibility frames most of the time, and even mashing attack gets you respectable damage.
- Yixuan is a T0 stat stick, you can play her sloppy and her raw numbers still chew through the lower floors.
- Miyabi is the veteran T0, if you pulled her just level her, she puts out a fine floor even in clumsy hands.
One rule for picking a DPS: look at the floor first, don't let the "ceiling" talk talk you into a high-execution character.
The 3.2 crowd-gathering team genuinely saves your hands.
Roxy and Claret in 3.2 are the pair guides keep pointing casual players toward, and it comes down to one thing: saving effort.
- Roxy is a Wind stun agent whose enhanced special gathers enemies on its own, so you don't manually herd mobs in Shiyu Defense, just hold it and they clump up.
- Run Roxy with Claret and Rina, Claret's bonus ability gets triggered by Roxy, so the whole chain runs itself.
- Claret is the new Electric DPS and she works with standard characters like Rina and Koleda, no expensive limited supports required.
- The whole rotation is three steps: hold Roxy's enhanced E, wait for the three dots under her portrait to light up, swap and dump damage, done.
The one catch is Claret leans on her signature weapon, without it her power drops fast, so hold off if your budget is tight.
No new characters? Standard and free agents still work.
Plenty of casual players are new or don't want to whale for the new banners, and standard-pool and free agents can still put together a comfortable team.
- Caesar provides the most comfortable shield in this game, her passive triggers on defensive assist and basically buys the whole team a layer of safety.
- Nicole, Soukaku, and Lucy are your free support core, and building around them early is more than enough.
- For a pure free-to-play team, try Nicole and Soukaku plus an anomaly DPS, three A-ranks maxed out clear low Shiyu Defense and farming just fine.
Don't fall into thinking you can't play without limited units, what casual players need is to know one team cold, not keep swapping in new characters.

Beyond team-building, these habits save you more.
Getting the team right is half of it, the other half is habits, because even the most braindead team dies if you play it wrong. From my own experience, the first thing a casual player should practice isn't a combo, it's not panicking, wait for the enemy to start its attack and then dodge, which beats mashing dodge constantly. Use your defensive assist, block when you should, don't be stingy about swapping, that's exactly how Caesar keeps you alive. And don't rotate teams before you've mastered one, muscle memory is something casual players lean on harder than anyone. Once you can run your loop with your eyes closed, you'll see that "skill issue" is really just a matter of familiarity.
Casual players really don't need to feel bad in ZZZ, half of the strength in this game is team-building and investment, not raw hands. Lock onto a low-effort DPS, use Roxy and Claret if you pulled them, otherwise make do with standard and free agents, and drill your defensive assist and one fixed rotation until they're smooth, Shiyu Defense will still fall. Stop comparing yourself to the people who squeeze every frame, they're playing the ceiling, you're playing comfort. Get your team in order and the "casual" label comes off on its own sooner than you think.
