FC 27 Season 2 Roadmap: Heritage, Ultimate Scream, and What's Next

Oct 20, 2026
Share: WhatsAppReddit

FC 27 is about to turn the page from Season 1 to Season 2, and this is the point in the year where Ultimate Team starts getting expensive. Season 1 wraps on October 22, and Season 2 opens the same day with a new reward track, a Halloween promo right behind it, and a run of card drops that keeps the market moving through November. Here is what is confirmed, what is leaked, and what it means for your coins.

Season 2 Goes Live October 22

Season 1 ran from September 17 through October 22, so the switchover lands on a Thursday, the same slot EA has used for the rollover since launch. Future Stars Team 2 also runs through October 23. EA moved the Future Stars promo into October this year instead of its usual February slot, so the old promo and the new season overlap for a day and the content never really stops.

The theme this time is reported to be Heritage, a nostalgia play built around fan-favorite cards from past Ultimate Team titles. EA has not spelled out the full track yet, but the leaks are consistent enough that the name and the general shape of the season are basically settled. Season 1 carried the launch through its first wave of promos and handed out the usual ladder of packs, coins, and season players. Season 2 is where the game starts to reward people who stuck around, with stronger cards sitting higher up the track.

The Heritage Reward Track

The leaked reward list is what has players talking.

If the leaks hold, the Heritage track leans on cards people remember from earlier games, the kind of players who had a stretch of hype and never really left. Names floating around include Marcus Rashford, Allan Saint-Maximin, Alexis Sánchez, Nabil Fekir, Ferland Mendy, Timo Werner, and David De Gea, along with a run of women's players like Fridolina Rolfö and Mallory Swanson. None of this is official yet, but a 30-level track full of throwback cards fits the theme cleanly.

The smart play is not to chase every name on the list. One or two of them will fit your team, and the rest are just rewards you collect on the way to the level you actually want. These are reward cards, not pack pulls, so if you want them, you finish levels, which means matches, objectives, and time.

Ultimate Scream Arrives for Halloween

Right behind the season switch, Ultimate Scream is expected to land around October 23.

It is the Halloween promo, and every year it does the same job: it injects a batch of themed cards into packs while players are already spending on the new season. Last year's version leaned on a full-moon upgrade mechanic, and sites are projecting something similar this time, with the first full moon after the launch falling on October 26. It also lands the same week Future Stars Team 2 ends, so there is barely a gap between the end of one promo and the start of the next. Nothing about the upgrade rules is confirmed, so treat those details as educated guesses until EA posts the official notes.

What Else Is Coming This Season

Season 2 does not slow down after Halloween. The promo calendar keeps the content rolling, and the rough order looks like this.

Road to the Knockouts is the live-upgrade one, where cards rise with real Champions League results. Thunderstruck is the one traders fear most because the Black Friday packs flood the market and crash prices for a few days. EA rarely confirms these in advance, so the dates are estimates built from the roadmap and past cycles, but the order has been steady for years. The takeaway is that the next six weeks are packed, and every one of those promos moves cards out of packs and pulls coins out of the market.

How to Budget Your Coins for the New Season

This is the part that actually determines whether you keep up or fall behind.

When a new season and a Halloween promo hit the same week, the market gets volatile. Reward cards from Heritage flood in and push prices down, while the new promo cards start high and fade as more get pulled. The players who do well are the ones who hold coins through the transition instead of dumping them on the last few days of Season 1.

A few rules keep it simple.

The hardest part is not the math. It is watching a shiny new card drop and convincing yourself not to buy it at its most expensive. That discipline, more than any trading trick, is what separates people who always have coins from people who are always broke. The season changes on a schedule. Your coins should too.
