How to Get FREE Infinite HP & MP Potions in Black Desert Online
In Black Desert Online, Infinite HP and MP Potions are valuable reusable items for long-term gameplay. Ornette's Spirit Essence restores HP, while Odore's Spirit Essence restores MP, WP, or SP. Unlike regular consumables, these items do not run out after repeated use, making them useful for players who spend a lot of time grinding, questing, or switching between different characters. The materials for both Infinite Potions can be obtained through their original monster zones, Pity Piece exchanges, and alternative sources such as Atanis' Element. Atanis' Element can be exchanged at a 1:1 ratio for one of the six Infinite Potion Pity Pieces, allowing players to make progress without relying entirely on direct drops from the three main monster zones for each potion.

The six Pity Pieces are divided between the HP and MP Potions. Dragon's Fang, Tranquil Tinniolum, and Blood Wolf's Oath are used for Ornette's Spirit Essence, while Valtarra's Memory, Katzvariak's Venom, and Narc's Solace are used for Odore's Spirit Essence. After collecting 100 Pity Pieces of the same type, players can exchange them for the corresponding potion material through Merindora and then use Simple Alchemy to complete the material.

The Difference Between Infinite HP and MP Potions
The official names of the two potions are Ornette's Spirit Essence and Odore's Spirit Essence.
Ornette's Spirit Essence is the Infinite HP Potion. Its three core materials are:
Sherekhan's Panacea—Sherekhan Necropolis
Ron's Tintinnabulum—Forest Ronaros
Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak—Blood Wolf Settlement
Odore's Spirit Essence is the Infinite MP Potion. Its three core materials are:
Valtarra's Clairvoyance—Navarn Steppe
Markthanan's Gland—Tshira Ruins
Narc's Crimson Tear—Manshaum Forest
These six areas correspond to six different Pity Pieces. The HP Potion uses Dragon's Fang, Tranquil Tinniolum, and Blood Wolf's Oath, while the MP Potion uses Valtarra's Memory, Katzvariak's Venom, and Narc's Solace.
Why Atanis' Element Is Useful
Direct drops from the main potion monster zones are not the only way to obtain the required materials. Atanis' Element provides an alternative route because one Atanis' Element can be exchanged for one Pity Piece from the six available options.
The six exchangeable Pity Pieces are:
- Valtarra's Memory
- Katzvariak's Venom
- Narc's Solace
- Tranquil Tinniolum
- Blood Wolf's Oath
- Dragon's Fang
The exchange can be accessed through the game's Manage Currency interface. This allows players to use Atanis' Elements to fill gaps in their existing collection rather than continuing to farm a specific potion zone. It is useful to check the Pity Pieces already in the Family Inventory or regular inventory before exchanging Atanis' Elements. This prevents unnecessary duplication and makes it easier to complete the six required core materials.
Understanding the Atanis' Element Route
Atanis' Element can be obtained from several monster zones, including Polly's Forest, Desert Naga Temple, Titium Valley, Bashim Base, Cadry Ruins, Crescent Shrine, Fadus Habitat, Mirumok Ruins, Traitor's Graveyard, and Protty Cave. Because the item can be exchanged for any one of the six Pity Pieces, it can be used as a flexible resource during Infinite Potion collection. A player who already has part of an Infinite Potion can select the missing Pity Piece instead of collecting the same material again.

How to Craft the Infinite MP Potion
Materials Required for Odore's Spirit Essence
Odore's Spirit Essence requires three main potion materials:
Valtarra's Clairvoyance—obtained from Navarn Steppe
Markthanan's Gland—obtained from Tshira Ruins
Narc's Crimson Tear—obtained from Manshaum Forest
The corresponding Pity Pieces are:
Valtarra's Memory→Valtarra's Clairvoyance
Katzvariak's Venom→Markthanan's Gland
Narc's Solace→Narc's Crimson Tear
A complete potion material can drop directly from its associated monster zone. Alternatively, players can collect 100 of the corresponding Pity Piece and exchange them through Merindora before completing the required combination.
Finding Merindora and Converting Pity Pieces
Merindora is located in Grana. After collecting 100 Pity Pieces of the same type, players can exchange them for the additional material required to create the corresponding potion piece.
For the MP Potion:
100 Valtarra's Memory can be combined with the required exchange material to create Valtarra's Clairvoyance.
100 Katzvariak's Venom can be combined with the required exchange material to create Markthanan's Gland.
100 Narc's Solace can be combined with the required exchange material to create Narc's Crimson Tear.
The final combination uses Simple Alchemy. The important point is that the Pity Piece itself is not the final potion material. It must first be exchanged for the corresponding material through Merindora and then processed with Simple Alchemy.
Obtaining the Other Two MP Materials
After the three main MP Potion materials have been prepared, two additional materials are required. Krogdalo's Protection Stone can be obtained through the required exchange using Rumbling Earth Shards. Night Crow's Dawn Stone can be obtained through the required exchange using Dragon Scale Fossils. The latter exchange is handled by the Node Manager at Forboding Altar, near Garmoth's Nest. Once all five required materials have been prepared, they can be combined through Yaz's Combinables Pouch to create Odore's Spirit Essence, the Infinite MP Potion.

Core Materials for Ornette's Spirit Essence
Ornette's Spirit Essence requires three core potion materials:
Sherekhan's Panacea—Sherekhan Necropolis
Ron's Tintinnabulum—Forest Ronaros
Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak—Blood Wolf Settlement
Their corresponding Pity Pieces are:
Dragon's Fang→Sherekhan's Panacea
Tranquil Tinniolum→Ron's Tintinnabulum
Blood Wolf's Oath→Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak
These relationships should not be mixed with the MP Potion materials. The three HP Pity Pieces belong specifically to Ornette's Spirit Essence. Likewise, the three MP Pity Pieces belong specifically to Odore's Spirit Essence. Players can obtain the complete potion material directly from the relevant monster zone or collect 100 of the corresponding Pity Piece and exchange it through Merindora.
The Other Two HP Potion Materials
After obtaining the three core HP Potion materials, two additional materials are required. Gayak's Courage Stone requires 30 Garmoth's Scales. The exchange is handled by Camiira, the Node Manager at Sherekhan Necropolis. The correct spelling is Camiira, not Camira. Musical Spirit's Sound Stone requires 300 Peridot Leaves and can be exchanged through Moyamo, the Node Manager at Okiara River.
These two materials are separate from the three Pity Piece routes and do not require Atanis' Element.
Combining the Complete Infinite HP Potion
Once the three core materials, Gayak's Courage Stone, and Musical Spirit's Sound Stone are ready, they can be combined to create Ornette's Spirit Essence. The crafting process also includes intermediate combinations. The Pity Piece route first produces the required potion materials, which are then combined step by step until the final Infinite HP Potion is completed. Older guides may also mention Ancient potion pieces and Ancient Infinite Potions. These refer to older item versions associated with the period before the current Pity Piece system. For current collection routes, players should distinguish the modern Pity Piece materials from the older Ancient items rather than mixing the two systems.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Infinite Potions Completely Free?
If “free” means that players do not need to purchase the finished Infinite Potion with real-world money, the items can be obtained through gameplay. The required materials can be collected from monster zones, Pity Piece exchanges, Atanis' Element exchanges, and other in-game activities.
What Is the Family Inventory Used For?
Family Inventory allows certain items to be shared between characters within the same family. Infinite HP and MP Potions can be placed in the Family Inventory, which means players do not need to create a separate Infinite Potion for every character they use.
Do I Need to Farm All Six Potion Zones?
No. Players can combine direct potion-piece drops with Pity Pieces and Atanis' Element. Atanis' Element can be exchanged 1:1 for any one of the six Infinite Potion Pity Pieces, allowing the collection route to be adjusted according to the materials already obtained.
What Is the Difference Between a Pity Piece and a Full Potion Piece?
A Pity Piece is a partial material used toward one of the six core Infinite Potion materials. After collecting 100 Pity Pieces of the same type, players can exchange them through Merindora and use the required additional material with Simple Alchemy to create the corresponding full potion material.
Obtaining the Infinite HP and MP Potions in Black Desert Online requires collecting three core potion materials for each item, followed by the additional materials needed for the final combination. The key distinction is that the HP Potion and MP Potion use completely different sets of Pity Pieces. For Ornette's Spirit Essence, the three Pity Pieces are Dragon's Fang, Tranquil Tinniolum, and Blood Wolf's Oath. These correspond to Sherekhan's Panacea, Ron's Tintinnabulum, and Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak. For Odore's Spirit Essence, the three Pity Pieces are Valtarra's Memory, Katzvariak's Venom, and Narc's Solace. These correspond to Valtarra's Clairvoyance, Markthanan's Gland, and Narc's Crimson Tear.
Atanis' Element provides another way to progress because one element can be exchanged for one selected Pity Piece. This makes it possible to fill missing materials without relying entirely on direct drops from the main potion zones. Players can check their current materials first, then use Atanis' Elements for the Pity Pieces they still need. The final stages also require the correct exchange NPCs and crafting steps. Merindora handles the Pity Piece exchanges in Grana, Camiira handles the Garmoth's Scale exchange at Sherekhan Necropolis, and Moyamo handles the Peridot Leaf exchange at Okiara River. Keeping the names, materials, and crafting order separate makes the Infinite Potion process much easier to follow.
