Legend of Ymir: How to Climb Arena Tiers?
Legend of Ymir's arena is a seasonal 3v3 ranked mode in which players accumulate score through 3v3 battles to raise their tier and league rank. Arena tier progression follows one clear rule: tiers are not determined directly by equipment combat power, but by battle results. Before climbing, players must complete five placement matches to receive an initial tier, after which every win or loss is converted into score, and accumulating score to the required standard raises both tier and league rank. The following explains this through four aspects: the placement system, the source of score, the victory rules, and the participation conditions.

Complete five placement matches before climbing
Placement matches are the starting point of the tier system; without finishing them, there is no tier.
- The arena uses a seasonal system. New players must first play five placement matches, and only after finishing them do they receive an initial tier and league rank.
- The results of the placement matches determine the starting point, and the starting tier directly affects the distance of subsequent climbing.
- Only after completing the placement matches does a player enter ranked competition against other players, at which point the tier begins to rise and fall.
The five placement matches set everyone's starting point, and all subsequent climbing proceeds upward from the initial tier.
The core of climbing is accumulating score from wins and losses
The climbing logic of the arena is not complicated: it relies on the accumulation of score from 3v3 battle results. After each battle, a corresponding score is awarded based on the win or loss, and once the score accumulates to a certain point, the tier and league rank rise together. Every battle after the placement matches contributes to climbing, and the more wins, the faster the score grows and the higher the tier climbs. There is no publicly disclosed shortcut to climbing, and the developer has not released specific score thresholds; the confirmed path is that battle results convert into score and accumulated score leads to tier promotion. To steadily push the tier upward, one must secure each battle's outcome and keep the score rising.

The victory rules decide whether each match earns score
Whether a match earns score depends on two victory conditions, and understanding them will improve your win rate.
- First is total elimination: defeating all three opposing players instantly wins the match.
- Second is surviving headcount: if the timer expires with no total elimination, the side with more surviving players wins.
- These rules mean the arena values more than just individual output—preserving your team's members is just as vital, making coordination and tactical trade-offs crucial.
Together, these rules decide the outcome of each match, which in turn determines whether you earn points.
Tickets and opening hours decide how many matches can be played
The speed of climbing is also limited by one hard condition: the arena cannot be entered at any time. The arena is open only on fixed days each week and only during fixed hours each day, while also providing three entry tickets per day, with additional tickets obtainable through daily quests, missions, and achievements. This means there is a cap on the number of battles that can be played each week, and tickets and opening hours together determine the rate of score accumulation. To climb faster within a season, one must not only maintain a win rate but also use up the daily tickets and fully exploit the channels for extra tickets, as each additional match is another chance to earn score.
Tiers in Legend of Ymir's arena are determined by accumulated 3v3 battle scores. After completing five placement matches, players receive an initial tier and league rank, after which match results convert into score. Progression speed depends on two factors: battle outcomes (winning via total elimination or higher survivor count) and match volume (governed by seasonal schedules, fixed hours, and daily entry tickets plus extra mission rewards). Advancing through tiers also yields Duel Seals and Duel Tokens. Duel Tokens can be exchanged for legendary equipment material boxes and Master's Parchment, with higher tiers offering richer rewards.
