How to Customise Outfits & Boost Stats in Aion 2
In Aion 2, the Closet system does far more than just let you customise your character's look. Collecting skins is a vital progression system that directly increases your character’s combat power through Collection Effects and powerful Titles. Whether you are a casual player who loves fashion or a competitive player looking to min-max your stats, understanding how to acquire, synthesise, and utilise skins is essential.

How the Closet & Customisation Works
You can change the appearance of almost every equipment slot in Aion 2. Visual customisation is split into two categories:
Standard Slots (Obtainable in-game): Head, shoulders, top, bottom, gloves, shoes, cloak, weapons, earrings, and necklaces. Most of these skins can be obtained through normal gameplay.
Special Slots (Paid/Event only): Eye decorations, face decorations, and shoulder ornaments. These are typically exclusive to the Cash Shop, Battle Passes, or special events.
Deep Dye & Texture Customisation
Once you own a skin, you can customise it heavily:
Color Dyeing: Change up to 4 different color zones on a single outfit.
Texture Swaps: Choose from 8 different material textures, including stainless steel, leather, and more.
Pattern Overlays: Add patterns like lines, flowers, or hearts, and customise their colors.
Money-saving Tip: Standard customisation costs 200 Premium Coins per slot. However, the game frequently runs limited-time 50% off events (reducing the cost to 100 Premium Coins). Save up your visual changes and apply them all at once during these sales!

How to Obtain Outfits (Skins)?
Skins in Aion 2 have tiers (rarities):
White (Common) → Green → Blue → Yellow (Unique) → Red (Heroic).
To build your collection, use the following methods:
Method A: Extracting/Dismantling Unused Gear (Primary Source)
You can spend in-game currency to dismantle gear you no longer need.
This process guarantees Enhancement Stones (for upgrading gear) and also offers a low random chance to unlock that gear piece's visual skin in your Closet.
Note: Do not dismantle high-tier gear in the early game, as those items are rare and have better uses elsewhere.
Method B: Synthesising Duplicate Skins (Upgrading Rarity)
If you obtain duplicate skins, you can combine them to roll for a higher-tier outfit:
- Combine 4 duplicate skins of the same rarity.
- This gives you a random chance to obtain a skin of the next tier up.
Lucky Aura: Using this special booster item during synthesis increases your success rate. Lucky Auras can be earned through Achievements or exchanged using Mileage Points from premium purchases.
Pro-Tip: The Fast-Track to Heroic (Red) Skins
Getting Heroic (Red) Skins is extremely difficult. Synthesising 4 Unique (Yellow) skins only has a 10% success rate of producing a Heroic skin.
To bypass this grind, use the Abyss Point (AP) Strategy:
Participate in PvP activities to accumulate Abyss Points (AP).
Go to the AP Merchant and purchase Guardian Decanus gear (specifically buy Earrings, Gloves, or Cloaks—do not buy Rings, as they do not have visual skins). Dismantle this AP gear. Dismantling Abyss equipment guarantees a 100% skin unlock rate, securing you Unique (Yellow) skins instantly. Additionally, dismantling AP gear refunds 80% of the Abyss Points spent. Effectively, you only spend around 8,000 AP per guaranteed Unique skin. Use these guaranteed Unique skins as synthesis materials to reliably roll for Heroic (Red) skins.
Note: Since this strategy requires a lot of AP, it is not recommended for early-game beginners, but it is highly recommended once you start focusing on your endgame Closet progression.
How Clothes Make You Stronger (Stat Bonuses)
Do not ignore the Closet system, even if you do not care about fashion. Collecting skins directly increases your combat stats in two ways:
A. Collection Effects (Passive Stat Boosts)
As you unlock more skins to fill your Closet, you activate Collection Effects. These passives permanently boost your attributes, such as:
- Weapon Attack Power
- Armor Defense
- Accessory Attack & Defense
In Aion 2, Weapon Attack Power and PvP Defense are critical stats. Filling your Closet is one of the most effective ways to scale these stats in the late game.
B. Overpowered Titles
Unlocking certain milestones in your Closet rewards you with unique Titles. Titles in Aion 2 provide passive stat boosts just for owning them, as well as active stat boosts when equipped.
The "Empty Closet" Title: Unlocked by collecting 700 different skins.
The Stat Boost: Equipping this title grants +5% Combat Speed and +40 Natural HP Regen, along with a passive +50 HP bonus just for owning it.
In Aion 2, your outfit is your armor in more ways than one. By taking advantage of customisation sales, utilizing the Abyss Point dismantle strategy, and systematically filling your Closet, you can unlock massive stat boosts, lower your skill cooldowns, and stand out in the world of Atreia. Start collecting, dismantling, and synthesising your way to the top!
