How Do You Play the Landmark Rush Event in Monopoly GO?
Landmark Rush is a limited-time event that appears on a recurring schedule in Monopoly GO, and the rule is simple: every time you fully upgrade a landmark during the event, you receive an extra ten dice and some cash, with the cash amount scaling to your account level. It is not like tournaments, where you compete for rankings, and it is not like Sticker Boom, which changes your packs; it is purely a build-and-reward loop. Whether you come out ahead depends on how many landmarks you have brought one level short of completion before it starts, and whether you have set aside enough cash for the final upgrades. Arrange those two things in advance, and the same money returns noticeably more dice.

Park Your Landmarks One Level Short of Max
The reward only triggers the moment a landmark is maxed, so outside the event you should leave each landmark one step short of full completion.
- Stop one level short: Do not max a landmark in one go; stop when it is one level from completion, and leave that last level for the Rush window.
- Sink your cash into landmarks one level short: Put the money you earn into landmarks first, bringing each to one level from the top, so your cash becomes buildings that Bank Heists cannot take; only save the final upgrade money as the Rush approaches.
- Max them all once the event is live: During the Rush, each completed landmark pays out, so finish them one by one, which pays far better than scattered upgrades on ordinary days.
Parking landmarks at the last level and holding only the final upgrade money is the cheapest and safest way to prepare for this event.
Stack It With the Two Other Events
Landmark Rush pays modestly on its own; it only really amplifies when it collides with the two other events.
- Builder's Bash cuts costs: This event can drop build costs by up to half, so when it runs alongside the Rush, the same cash completes several more landmarks.
- Board Rush adds a second layer: Board Rush pays out for finishing an entire board, so when both are live you collect once per building and once again for the whole board.
- All three at once is the ideal window: Having all three events active together is rare, and when it happens, spend every bit of saved cash in one burst.
Stacked events multiply their returns rather than adding them, and the value of running them together is a step above taking part alone.

Let Your Wallet Decide Whether to Play
The Rush is not a must-play event; whether it is worth it depends on whether the cash in your account can complete several landmarks in one go.
- Skip it if cash is short: Each landmark only pays ten dice, and forcing upgrades with no cash on hand does not justify the cost.
- Leave half-finished landmarks alone: A few levels short of max will not trigger the reward, and money spent there brings nothing back.
- Saving up beats dipping in: Build cash until you can complete several landmarks in one session, which is worth more than starting whenever you can only afford a level or two.
Play when you can afford it and wait when you cannot; the Rush was never an event you must force.
Compress Everything Into the Moment It Opens
The real way to play Landmark Rush is not to scramble and build after it starts, but to set everything up in advance. On ordinary days, pour your earnings into landmarks and stop one step short of the top, turning cash into buildings that heists cannot touch, while keeping an eye on the schedule for Builder's Bash and Board Rush; once the Rush opens, max out your parked landmarks on the cheaper boards first, collect the low-cost dice rewards in full, then push the remaining money into higher-level boards. The whole process needs no extra dice, and it comes down to whether your landmarks were parked in time and your final upgrade money was set aside.
Plenty of players treat Landmark Rush as free dice, upgrade a little and leave it at that, but the difference is all in the preparation. In the same Rush, someone who parked their landmarks one level short and set aside only the final upgrade money can complete several in a single push and collect dozens of extra dice, while someone who only remembers to upgrade after the event starts is usually short on cash and levels and finishes nothing. Landmark Rush tests neither luck nor speed, but whether you placed your landmarks right before the event and turned the money you needed to keep into something heists cannot reach. The difference is invisible on ordinary days, but one Rush is enough to lay it out in the open.
