Lineage Classic Episode Aden Update: Aden City, New Server, and More
Lineage Classic has been rolling out big episodes since it launched in February 2026, and the latest one is the biggest yet. Episode Aden arrived on September 16, and it opens the game's most iconic city, adds a new server, and pushes the endgame further with the Tower of Insolence. It is also the clearest sign yet that the game is sticking around. If you play Lineage Classic, or you are thinking about starting, here is what the update actually brings.

What Episode Aden Opened
Episode Aden is named after the capital city at the heart of Lineage's world, and the update finally opens it up to players.
- Aden city is now playable, with 30 blood pledge houses up for grabs. That matters a lot on a game built on guild warfare, because holding a house is how a pledge plants a flag.
- The Wind Dragon Lair brings the Lindvior boss, and the Twilight Mountains add the Ancient Giant, giving raiders two new targets.
- The Tower of Insolence opens its first 20 floors, which gives high-level players a proper endgame grind instead of farming the same old spots.
- Level 60 transformations, a marriage system, and new pets round out the social and progression additions.
For veterans this episode lands differently. Aden city and the Tower of Insolence are names people who played the original Lineage remember well, and NCsoft is clearly leaning into that nostalgia rather than hiding from it.
A New Aden Server and a Transfer Window
The update did not just add content, it opened a new Aden server on September 16 at 8 PM KST. A second server transfer window ran through September 29, so players could move an existing character over if they wanted a fresh start on equal footing. New servers in Lineage Classic tend to fill fast, because a fresh economy and fresh guild rivalries are a big part of why people come back. Anyone who missed the transfer window now has to weigh starting over from zero on Aden against staying put.
The Episode Path That Got Here
Lineage Classic has kept a steady cadence all year, and the Aden episode is the payoff of a long build-up. The subscription model matters here, because it means the developers have to keep players happy with content rather than sell them power, and the episode schedule reflects that.
- February 2026: the game launched under a subscription model and pulled in 500,000 cumulative users within two days, with 180,000 playing at once.
- March: Episode Heine opened the Heine region and the Fafurion boss.
- April: the Valakas's Lair episode added the fire dragon and a new PvP server.
- June: the Oren episode brought the snowy Oren region, the Ivory Tower, and the Ice Queen.
- July: the Forgotten Island episode introduced the game's first server transfer feature.
That is a new major episode roughly every six weeks, which is a much faster pace than most classic servers ever get.
The Events Still Running Now
Alongside the episodes, the event calendar has stayed busy. The September 30 update added a weapon and armor enhancement event built around the Clear system, kept the Mid-Autumn Festival running with mooncakes, and started the first castle sieges on the Leo Nemea and Pegasus servers. Earlier in the year there was a White Day event with its own activity dungeon, a Pirate Island preview, and a summer event that revamped the blood pledge system. Castle sieges are the big one, because sieges are where Lineage Classic's guild politics actually play out, and the first round on the newer servers set the tone for who controls what.
Why the Game Keeps Growing
The reason Lineage Classic keeps adding episodes is simple: the demand is there. A subscription-based classic server with no heavy microtransaction push was always going to pull in people who miss the old Lineage, and the launch numbers proved it. Every episode since has added the things those players ask for most, new regions, new bosses, new servers, and more guild-focused systems. For anyone still deciding whether to start, the Aden episode is as good a moment as any, because a new server plus a fresh capital city means the game is not slowing down, it is accelerating.
Episode Aden is not a small patch. It is the biggest content drop Lineage Classic has had since launch, and it lands on a game that has been updating every few weeks all year. Whether you are chasing the Tower of Insolence, fighting over a pledge house in Aden, or just logging in for the Mid-Autumn events, there is more to do now than at any point since February.
