Valkyrie or Disir: Which to Raise First in Legend of Ymir?
Valkyrie and Disir (the pet) are two separate progression lines, and the order you invest in them directly decides your early resource efficiency. The two lines operate on different levels, so once you sort out what each one handles, the priority becomes clear. Both pull from the same early budget, so a wrong order is hard to undo. The core difference is that one changes how your character fights, while the other only changes the numbers behind the fight.

Different RolesValkyrie Handles Transformation, Disir Handles Stats
The two systems have similar-sounding names but very different functions.
- Valkyrie is a transformation system: once equipped it grants extra stats and skill enhancements, and it lets you switch to other classes.
- Disir is a pet that provides stat bonuses as a supporting boost.
Valkyrie decides your class and skills, while Disir only adds stats, so the former sits closer to the core of combat power.
Why Raise Valkyrie First
Valkyrie directly affects your class and skills, so investment pays off more directly.
- Skill enhancement raises the damage ceiling, applies only while that Valkyrie is equipped, and pays off more as its level rises.
- Class switching lets one character change playstyle per dungeon, and the Valkyrie's level decides how flexible that is.
- Transformation is bound to the character's own combat power and feeds damage more directly than a pet's stats.
Class and skills are the skeleton of damage output, and Valkyrie puts that skeleton together.

Add Disir Later
Disir is a stat supplement, so wait until the core is built before investing in it.
- Disir provides flat stat bonuses, and its early return is lower than that of a Valkyrie's skill enhancement.
- The diamond budget for summoning and replacement is limited, and spending it on Valkyrie returns more.
- Disir's transcendence unlocks earlier, but unlocking earlier does not mean it deserves the priority.
Disir's bonus is a late-game supplement, placed after the core is built.
Progression Order and Resource Allocation
Merge Valkyrie up to a usable grade, using four duplicate cards to move up one tier and saving diamond replacement for Hero grade and above. The transcendence has a 100% success rate, so do that step on Valkyries. Keep the budget for summon cards and diamond replacement on the Valkyrie line, and add Disir after the main quest advances and the core class is built. The deciding rule is simple: whichever system directly drives damage output is the one to raise.
As for which to raise first, the answer is Valkyrie. Skill enhancement and class switching both come from the transformation line, while the pet only adds a stat increment. With limited resources, prioritize Valkyrie, build up the transformation's level, and add Disir after the core is built. Kept in this order, the early budget goes into the line that decides combat, and the pet becomes a clean later upgrade.
