Updated Best Solo Bosses Worth Doing For Silver in Black Desert

Black Shrine - Donghae (Solo) recently received a major adjustment. The rework removed the original Light Orb setup, so battles from Calamity 1 through Calamity 9 now run on your own gear, and Calamity 10 is temporarily closed. Before the change, Calamity 7 and below relied mainly on Light Orbs to balance attack and defense, and your gear did not factor into the fight directly, while Calamity 8 and above carried a minimum attack power requirement. After the adjustment, the gear gate, combat difficulty, and rewards at every level have all shifted, and the old boss order and silver planning need a fresh look.

Conditions to verify before taking on the challenge

After the rework, solo Black Shrine leans harder on your own gear. When choosing a boss, confirm the following four points first.

Minimum attack power requirement: the ten bosses split into three gear gates. Golden Pig King, Apex Changui, Songakshi, Sangoon, and Gumiho rise from 300 at Calamity 1 to 420 at Calamity 9. Bari, Bamboo Legion Lieutenant, and Duoksini rise from 305 to 425. Oduksini and Imoogi rise from 310 to 430. Before challenging, confirm that your current gear meets the requirement for the difficulty you plan to run.

Blessing aura effect: the Sun aura grants attack power and covers Golden Pig King, Oduksini, and Apex Changui. The Moon aura grants defense and covers Bari, Songakshi, and Bamboo Legion Lieutenant. The Earth aura grants item drop rate and covers Sangoon, Gumiho, Duoksini, and Imoogi. Picking a boss that matches your current gear and goal makes better use of the aura.

High-value items: Dahn's Gloves are a top-tier armor piece with a Central Market reference price of roughly 9.7 billion silver. Deboreka Earring carries a reference price of about 300 to 400 million silver per piece and can be enhanced further. Both sit in the chance-based reward pool, and Deboreka Earring can also drop at PRI (I) or DUO (II) enhancement level. Check the live Central Market price for current values.

Weekly attempts: Boss Blitz gives each family five attempts per week, and the count resets weekly. Rewards settle on Sunday, and you must claim them before the next reset. Because the weekly count is limited, plan your boss order in advance around your gear level and target rewards.

Where the Silver Comes From

The rewards from solo Black Shrine split into two main groups: guaranteed rewards and chance-based rewards. Guaranteed rewards provide a relatively steady accumulation of items, while high-value chance-based rewards determine the extra income a single clear can bring.

Take Oduksini's Calamity 1 weekly reward as an example. In the Rank 1–9 tier, the guaranteed rewards include the following:

Materials and enhancement items: Embers of Hongik ×8–11, Memory Fragment ×9–12, Sealed Black Magic Crystal ×1, Black Stone ×18–22.

Region items and crafting materials: Sangpyeong Coin ×54–60, Trace of Nature ×9–12, Essence of Dawn ×9–10.

Gold bars: Gold Bar 1,000G ×0–1, Gold Bar 100G ×0–8.

The chance-based rewards include Dahn's Gloves, Tear of Illusion, Deboreka Earring, PRI (I) Deboreka Earring, DUO (II) Deboreka Earring, as well as Flame of Hongik, Essence of Taebaek, Crystal of Harmony, Crystal of Darkness, Crystal of Bitterness, Crystal of Decimation, Bonghwang's Fragment, Haetae's Fragment, Girin's Fragment, Resplendent Lightstone of Earth, and Resplendent Lightstone of Fire. As difficulty and rank tier rise, the reward counts adjust accordingly. That said, high-value items sit in the chance-based pool and are not guaranteed on every clear. When planning your weekly runs, weigh the accumulation value of the guaranteed rewards together with the potential upside of the chance-based rewards, rather than judging a boss's overall value by the market price of a single item.

Boss Recommendations by Gear Level

After the rework, Calamity 1 through Calamity 9 all run on your own gear. When choosing a target, confirm the minimum attack power requirement first, then plan around clear consistency, aura effect, and reward content.

Prioritize high-value drops: adventurers whose gear meets the requirement and who can clear reliably should focus on Duoksini, Oduksini, Imoogi, and Apex Changui. Among these, Duoksini and Imoogi belong to the Earth aura and grant an item drop-rate bonus, which suits players aiming to improve their chances at items. Note that a drop-rate bonus does not guarantee a high-value item.

Prioritize guaranteed rewards: adventurers whose gear has not yet reached the higher gates, or who want steadier weekly clears, can consider Golden Pig King and Bamboo Legion Lieutenant. Still confirm the minimum attack power requirement for the Calamity level, and decide whether to push higher based on actual clear performance.

Arrange the order by aura: the Sun aura leans toward attack power, the Moon aura toward defense, and the Earth aura toward item drop rate. Pick targets around your current gear gaps and reward needs, and avoid assigning every attempt based only on a boss's name or the price of a single item.

Allocate the weekly count carefully: with only five attempts each week, clear the bosses that match your gear, clear reliably, and fit your current reward goals first. If a high-difficulty run is not yet stable, start with targets that suit your current gear level and adjust the plan once your gear improves.

Common Questions

After the rework, does gear affect low-difficulty Black Shrine?

Yes. With the original Light Orb setup removed, Calamity 1 through Calamity 9 all run on your own gear. Confirm the minimum attack power requirement for the difficulty before challenging, and judge whether your gear can support a stable clear.

Does a higher-difficulty boss always mean more silver?

Not necessarily. Higher difficulty and rank tiers offer corresponding reward upgrades, but high-value items such as Dahn's Gloves and Deboreka Earring sit in the chance-based pool. The final return also depends on the actual drops, the value of the guaranteed rewards, and the time each clear takes.

Is it better to prioritize Earth-aura bosses?

The Earth aura provides an item drop-rate bonus, which suits adventurers who treat item acquisition as their main goal. Still, a drop-rate bonus does not equal a fixed increase in income, nor does it guarantee a specific high-value item. Judge by combining the boss's gear gate, clear consistency, and reward content.

How should I arrange the five weekly attempts?

Prioritize bosses that match your current gear level, that you can clear reliably, and whose rewards fit your needs. If you mainly chase high-value chance drops, spend some attempts on targets that offer those drop opportunities. If you value steady accumulation, favor the difficulties you can clear reliably.

After the solo Black Shrine rework, silver planning needs to weigh the gear gate, the guaranteed rewards, and the high-value chance drops together. Guaranteed rewards suit long-term accumulation, while high-value items add an extra upside to each run. Since each boss has its own minimum attack power requirement and aura, set your priority order around your current gear level, clear consistency, and item needs. With only five weekly attempts, arranging the targets well matters more than chasing the highest difficulty. When your gear clears the gates and your runs are stable, focus on the chances at high-value items. When your gear still falls short, favor bosses that suit your current gear and skill, so you can finish the run and claim the reward. Before arranging your runs, confirm the target boss's minimum attack power requirement, its aura, and its reward content, and watch the weekly settle and claim times. Adjust the order as your gear improves, so you can use the weekly count more effectively and balance guaranteed accumulation with the chance at high-value items.
