Black Desert New Agent Class Introduction

Jul 30, 2026
Share: WhatsAppReddit

The Agent is the 32nd class in Black Desert, officially launched on global PC servers on July 30, 2026. Codenamed "The Silent Reaper," he is a male secret operative whose birth name is Edward Canary, and the younger brother of the female class Deadeye, released in 2024. Unlike Deadeye's sustained mid-range suppressive rapid-fire revolver style, the Agent wields a heavy-caliber revolver as his main weapon, paired with the Hexround and grenades to form an assassin-style gunfighter approach centered on high-burst ambushes and swift disengagement—patiently waiting for the right moment, closing in to deliver heavy strikes, and pulling out before the enemy can react. The Succession version has launched first, with the Awakening version expected this winter.

Black Desert New Agent Class Introduction

Three Weapons, Three Purposes

The Agent's weapon slots consist of three pieces of equipment:

Main Weapon: A heavy-caliber revolver sharing the same weapon type as Deadeye's revolver but with a larger caliber, prioritizing powerful single shots over rapid fire through the use of two ammunition types: Armor-Piercing Rounds and Explosive Rounds. Armor-Piercing Rounds target high-defense enemies, while Explosive Rounds produce an area-of-effect blast on impact, making them suitable for clearing dense groups of monsters.

Secondary Weapon: The "Hexround," which is the Agent's core equipment. It automatically fires additional shots at enemies during combat and can enhance attack effects when combined with specific skills. More importantly, the Hexround can push the Agent's physical abilities to their limit in a short burst, enabling more powerful movements and attacks than in a normal state.

Tactical Tool: The grenade, oriented toward tactical control—blocking charging enemies, creating distance while evading, or serving as a filler between combo sequences.

Core Skills: Blink and Mozambique Drill

Blink is the Agent's signature mobility skill—an instantaneous teleport to a target location within range, capable of bypassing certain obstacles. A brief vulnerability window follows its use, making the timing of entry and disengagement a direct factor in survivability. The Mozambique Drill is the Agent's finishing technique, inspired by real-world tactical shooting—a lethal burst fired at close range, ideal as a follow-up after closing in with Blink. Maneuver Fire handles rapid approach and continuous attacks, while Time-Stop Barrage unleashes gunfire at surrounding enemies within frozen time. These two skills form the Agent's primary offensive framework at close to mid-range.

How Does It Differ From Deadeye?

The two classes share the revolver weapon type and a familial backstory, but their combat feel is entirely different:

Deadeye: Employs a mid-range sustained repositioning style featuring rapid fire, repeated spacing adjustments, and constant fire coverage.

The Agent: Features a classic burst-ambush style—closing in with Blink, delivering a round of high-damage heavy strikes, then disengaging with a grenade or a second Blink.

Deadeye is like continuous suppressive fire, while the Agent is more like a lethal strike after a stealthy approach. The two classes demand fundamentally different operational rhythms—Deadeye tests the stability of sustained repositioning, whereas the Agent tests the precision of timing judgment.

 New Agent Class Introduction

What Kind of Player Is It For?

The Agent's combat rhythm is slower, but each individual hit deals higher damage. Most of the time is spent looking for enemy openings and waiting for skill cooldowns, and the moment of engagement concentrates high-damage skill combinations into a single burst. This combat pattern suits players who prefer precision execution over sustained button input. The defensive side relies on Blink's displacement and grenade control to avoid damage, rather than depending on defensive stats to absorb hits.

A Few Details Worth Noting:

The Agent currently only has the Succession path, with Awakening expected this winter. Confirming the Awakening weapon's characteristics before committing to a main weapon is advisable, as it will affect the final playstyle direction.

The revolver's fire rate is slower than Deadeye's; against highly mobile enemies, Blink and grenade control effects are essential for creating damage windows.

The Hexround's additional shots are auto-triggered passive damage. Manual operation of the Hexround is not required during skill combos, but understanding its trigger conditions helps maximize damage output.

Switching between Armor-Piercing Rounds and Explosive Rounds requires advance judgment of the target type—prioritize Armor-Piercing Rounds in boss fights, and switch to Explosive Rounds during mob-clearing phases for better efficiency.

The Agent is Black Desert's new class offering for the summer of 2026—featuring a larger-caliber revolver, an ambush-style combat rhythm, and an assassin gunfighter that shares a bloodline with Deadeye yet plays entirely differently. For players who have already invested significant time in the game, it is a class that requires adapting to a new playstyle; for new players considering whether to start, the Hyper Boost growth program that launched alongside the Agent provides a fast catch-up route. Pearl Abyss has confirmed that new classes will now arrive at a pace of one per year. The Agent is the first class under this new cadence, and the Awakening version's performance will determine the class's final standing in both PvE and PvP.
