POE2 Daily Must-Do Checklist
The moment Forbidden Rites went live on September 4, a friend messaged me in the middle of the night asking what they should even do when they log in each day. Nobody hands you daily quests in this game, but how you spend those few fixed hours every day matters more than people think. Get it right and you pull a week ahead of everyone; get it wrong and you stay broke no matter how long you're online. I wrote my own rhythm down into a checklist I run through every single day, and I'm sharing it here as-is.

Don't Rush Straight Into Maps After Logging In
Most people log in and dive straight into maps, and honestly I think that's the biggest waste of time, because in those first few days of a fresh league the value gap between one map and another — and one activity and another — is enormous, so spending three minutes sorting out a few small things before you enter pays way more than squeezing in one extra map.
- Glance at the challenge panel and keep the eight new challenges in the back of your mind, ticking them off as you map instead of having to go back and grind them after you hit max level.
- Clear out your stash and inventory, vendor the junk gear straight into basic currency, and don't let that clutter eat into your mapping rhythm.
- Decide on exactly one goal for the day — pushing levels, clearing challenges, or stacking currency — and stick to it once you've picked.
All three together take under five minutes, and yet most people can't be bothered. I only changed after my cluttered stash and aimless mapping cost me real time, and now I never enter a map without running through this first.
The Three Things I Do Every Day No Matter What
Once the prep work is out of the way, the next part is where your time should actually go, because in this new league the profitable work really comes down to three things, and they decide whether you come away with loot that day.
- Run a round of Rituals. Every area now has Ritual encounters, so clear the guards, activate the effigy to refight them, and bank Tribute to spend on rewards — right now it's the steadiest income in the game.
- Chain Abyssal Ravines along the way. There's a guaranteed boss and the rewards keep scaling the deeper you go, so don't scatter your maps randomly.
- The Trial of Chaos can be paused now, so push a few rooms every day toward room 30 and the Wager modifiers — the deeper you get, the more absurd the payoff.
These three can be strung into one line: finish your Rituals, hop into Ravines, then take what you've banked into Chaos. That's basically a full day's work. Don't get greedy — grinding these properly beats dabbling in a little of everything.

Cash In the Stuff You've Been Saving
After a day of grinding you always end up holding things that are valuable but can't be cashed out right away — don't blow them one at a time in a burst of excitement; save them for a single cash-in session and the returns are a lot better.
- Hold your Sacred Blooms and enter the Wildwood together once you've got a few saved up. With Primal, Vivid, Wild and the rare Sacred Wisps stacked, the drops are on a completely different level.
- Don't throw currency around. Grip your Divine Orbs tight early on since they only appreciate, and spend your Exalts freely while they're cheapest.
- Group the eight challenges by activity so one map advances several objectives at once, instead of running each one separately.
The cash-in phase is where impatience bites hardest, especially with the Wildwood — burning a single Bloom on one map is basically throwing it away. My own mistake was using the first Bloom I got on day one in a hurry, and it still stings thinking about it.
That's the whole day. It looks simple, but almost no one actually sticks to it. These opening weeks of a fresh league are the most valuable time there is — whoever gets this rhythm down first is the one reaching high-tier maps early and grabbing the first wave of profit. The checklist is here; the rest depends on whether you're willing to get moving today.
