Lineage Classic Aden Chapter Update

Sep 11, 2026
Share: WhatsAppReddit

Lineage Classic has been moving fast since it launched in February. Three chapters in eight months, and the latest one is the biggest yet. The Aden chapter goes live on September 16, and for the first time it pits Korean and Taiwanese players against each other directly. Here is what is coming, what you can claim, and what it means if you are thinking about jumping back in.

The Aden Chapter Goes Live September 16

The Aden chapter is the third major content drop for the game, after Episode Heine in March and Episode Oren in June. Heine brought the water city, its castle, and the Eva Kingdom dungeon, while Oren added the polar snowfield, Crystal Cave, and the level 50 quest line. Aden is bigger than both.

This one is built around the fight for the throne of the Aden Kingdom, with Anti-King Kane at the center of the story and a young prince who has vanished. Pre-registration opened on September 9 and runs until the chapter launches on September 16, with the reward claim window staying open through October 14. A new region and new servers go live on the Korean and Taiwanese servers at the same time, so if you have been waiting for a fresh start, this is the window.

Cross-Region PvP: Korea vs Taiwan

The headline feature is the cross-region battle. For the first time, the top 100 players from the Korean servers and the top 100 from the Taiwanese servers face off in a faction fight. The outcome is not just bragging rights. Whichever side wins, every player on the winning region's servers gets a faction buff.

That changes the stakes a lot. It means the strongest players are not just carrying their own guild anymore, they are carrying their whole region. For anyone who cares about that buff, gear matters more than ever, because the gap between a top 100 player and the field is decided by enchants and rare drops, not just hours played. It is the kind of event that pushes serious players to gear up fast, and it lands right as the new servers open.

The Scythe Reaper Defense Mini-Game

Alongside the chapter, NCSoft is running a limited time tower defense mode called the Scythe Reaper Defense Battle. It is staged inside the Tower of Arrogance, runs for about four weeks, and lets you hold off waves of enemies alongside characters from the game's story as NPC allies.

The rewards are worth doing. You can pick up Tower of Arrogance teleport charms, a Creation Ring, and a Dragon Mail selection box. For a four week event, that is a solid haul, and the teleport charm alone saves a lot of running for anyone who plans to keep farming the tower after the event ends.

Pre-Registration Rewards and New Servers

The rewards split by server type, and this is where returning and new players get the most value.

The +6 weapon box is the standout. A fresh character on a new server starting with a +6 weapon skips hours of early grinding and a lot of enchant gambling. New servers also mean a fresh economy, which is exactly when the market for adena, enchant scrolls, and early gear runs hottest. Everyone starts at zero, so the demand for a head start is immediate.

What This Means for Returning Players

If you dropped off after launch, the Aden chapter is the cleanest re-entry point the game has had.

The new server gives you a level playing field instead of coming back to an established server where everyone is already geared. The +6 weapon and armor boxes from the welcome chest cut the worst part of the early grind. And the cross-region PvP means the competitive scene is about to get loud, which usually drags the item market up with it.

For players who do come back, the same rule applies as always in this game: the difference between keeping up and falling behind is rarely skill, it is gear. The scrolls, adena, and enchanted weapons that were already moving before launch are going to move even faster once the servers go live.
