Lineage Classic Korea vs Taiwan PvP
Lineage Classic is about to do something it has never done before. On September 16, as part of the Aden chapter, the top players from the Korean servers and the top players from the Taiwanese servers will fight each other directly for the first time. This is not a friendly exhibition, and the result does not just matter to the people fighting. It changes the game for everyone on the losing side, and it is the kind of event that pulls lapsed players back to the game. Here is how it works and why it matters.

The First Korea vs Taiwan Matchup
Since launch, the Korean and Taiwanese versions of Lineage Classic have been separate worlds. They run the same game and the same chapters, but the two player bases never touched. They could not fight, trade, or even see each other. The Aden chapter changes that.
The cross-region battle is the headline feature of the update. NCSoft has been building it up as the first time the two regions face off, and it is built around a faction battle that pits the two regions head to head. It lands the same day the new servers open, so the fight arrives right as a wave of fresh characters floods in.
How It Works: Top 100 vs Top 100
The battle itself is simple to describe but hard to get into.
Each region fields its top 100 ranked players. The top 100 from the Korean servers and the top 100 from the Taiwanese servers face each other in a faction battle, with rewards handed out by ranking and by which side wins. There is no open bracket to grind through. If you are not already in the top 100 on your region's leaderboard, you are watching, not fighting.
The cutoff is absolute. The player sitting at rank 101 on the day of the fight gets nothing, the same as the player at rank 10,000. That is a brutal line to draw, and it is exactly the kind of line that pushes people to keep climbing in the days before September 16.
That is the part a lot of players miss. This is not a tournament anyone can join. It is a summit of the strongest characters on each side, and the only way in is to already be at the top of the ladder.
The Stakes: A Buff for the Whole Region
The most unusual part is what happens after the fight.
The outcome does not just reward the hundred players who fought. Whichever region wins, every player on that region's servers gets a faction buff. Lose, and your whole region misses out on it. That turns a 200-player fight into something the entire player base has a stake in because the buff is a real power gain that shows up in hunting, in PvP, and everywhere else. The exact size of the winning region's buff has not been spelled out yet, which only adds to the attention around the fight.
It also changes what the top 100 are playing for. They are not just defending their own spot on the leaderboard anymore. They are carrying their region, and the pressure on them to be fully geared before the fight is enormous. A single under-geared player in the top 100 is not just losing for themselves; they are losing the buff for their entire server.
Why This Matters for the Item Market
Events like this always ripple into the economy, and this one ripples more than most.
A faction buff that the whole region wants gives every serious player a reason to care whether their top 100 wins. The top 100 themselves have every incentive to squeeze out the last few points of damage and defense before September 16, which means the market for enchanted weapons, high-level armor, and the scrolls that make them gets hot in the days leading up to the fight. The scrolls move first, then the gear they are used on, then the adena people need to pay for both. That demand is concentrated on the existing servers, where the top 100 already play.
The practical takeaway is simple. The week before and after a cross-region battle is when gear moves fastest, and when the gap between what you can farm and what you actually need is at its widest.

What Comes Next
The Aden chapter launches September 16, and the cross-region battle is only the centerpiece.
Alongside it, the Scythe Reaper Defense mini-game runs for about four weeks, a tower defense mode inside the Tower of Insolence that hands out teleport charms, a Creation Ring, and Dragon Mail selection boxes to anyone who grinds it. The pre-registration window runs from September 9 through the launch, with claims open until October 14. New characters on the new servers also get a welcome chest of starter gear, including a +6 weapon selection box, though a fresh server also means a fresh economy where that gear has to be built up from scratch.
For most players, the smartest move is simple: watch the leaderboard, pick the region you are backing, and be ready before the servers open. Once the fight is over and the buff lands, the window to get ahead cheap is already closing.
