Legend of Ymir: What Attributes Can Item Appraisal Roll?
Item appraisal in Legend of Ymir is a system that adds extra ability values to equipment. Players use appraisal scrolls at the Blacksmith to roll additional stats onto gear of Rare grade or higher. The purpose of appraisal is straightforward: it layers another set of random ability values onto equipment that is already finalized, and it is one of the five channels for raising combat power. The attributes from appraisal are not fully random, but are fixed within a certain range by equipment slot. Weapons and accessories lean toward skill damage, armor leans toward damage defense, and badges lean toward special stats such as accuracy and evasion. Each rolled option is also divided into three grades, high, medium, and low, with higher grades carrying higher values. The following explains this through four aspects: the appraisal threshold, slot-specific affixes, option grades, and high-grade appraisal.

Appraisal only applies to equipment of Rare grade or higher
Appraisal has a clear threshold, and not all equipment can be rolled.
- Only equipment of Rare grade or higher can be appraised; normal equipment does not fall within the appraisal range.
- The higher the equipment grade, the more additional affixes can be rolled, and the number of appraisal scrolls required also changes with the grade.
- Appraisal is performed at the Blacksmith, where the interface lists the equipment available for appraisal, the number of scrolls required, and the range of additional attributes that can be rolled onto that gear.
Rare grade or higher is the hard threshold for appraisal, and equipment grade directly determines the number of options and the cost.
Attributes that can be rolled by slot
The core value of appraisal lies in rolling attributes toward specific slots. Weapons and accessories are the damage side, so skill damage is prioritized, as it is the most direct and stable option. Armor corresponds to the survival side, rolling damage defense. Badges roll special stats such as accuracy, evasion, and critical, which are essential for PvP and high-level maps. On the general options side, Wisdom corresponds to mana recovery and Agility corresponds to accuracy and evasion, the former suited for auto-farming and the latter for high-difficulty maps and PvP. The specific options that can actually be rolled also include physical damage, magic damage, heavy-strike damage, PvP damage, monster damage, and effect-carrying PvP options such as bonus bleed damage. The options that can be rolled onto a given piece of equipment fall within a fixed range, and before appraising, players can tap the info button next to an option to view all stats available on that gear and their value ranges.

Options come in three grades with different probabilities
Each option is divided into three grades, high, medium, and low, and the grade determines the value.
- Using weapons as an example, normal appraisal rolls high grade at 5 percent, medium at 45 percent, and low at 50 percent, and this is consistent for Rare and higher grades.
- High-grade appraisal excludes the low grade entirely, raising the high-grade probability to 7 percent and medium to 93 percent, again consistent for Rare and higher grades.
- Each slot has its own probability table, with weapons, armor, accessories, sub-weapons, and life equipment calculated separately.
Normal appraisal tends to produce low grade, while high-grade appraisal guarantees medium and high, so the cost of rolling high-grade stats is concentrated in high-grade appraisal.
How to use high-grade appraisal and auto appraisal
High-grade appraisal costs diamonds and is more expensive, but it only produces options between medium and high grade, effectively paying to exclude the low grade, and it suits rolling for a core high-grade . Auto appraisal solves the efficiency problem of repeated operations. Players can select target attributes in advance, set the target grade for each attribute, and decide whether to enable high-grade appraisal, after which the system appraises repeatedly until the set conditions are met. Auto appraisal also stops automatically when appraisal scrolls or materials run out, and can be stopped manually at any time. In practice, locking in the target option and grade first and then deciding whether to enable high-grade appraisal is the most efficient approach.
The attributes rolled by item appraisal in Legend of Ymir are fixed by slot: weapons and accessories produce skill damage, armor produces damage defense, badges produce accuracy, evasion, and critical, general cover Wisdom and Agility, and there are also physical damage, magic damage, heavy-strike damage, PvP damage, monster damage, and bonus bleed damage. Appraisal only applies to equipment of Rare grade or higher, with higher grades yielding more stats, and each option is divided into high, medium, and low grades. Normal appraisal has the highest chance of producing low grade, while high-grade appraisal costs diamonds but excludes the low grade. To roll stats efficiently, use auto appraisal to lock in the target attribute and grade, then enable high-grade appraisal as needed, keeping the randomness within an acceptable range.
