Black Desert Get These Items From The Sea Palace Event!

Aug 20, 2026
Share: WhatsAppReddit

During the Sea Palace event in Black Desert, a special boss named Baby Vell appears in the underwater area at set times. Unlike a regular boss fight, this battle does not ask you to use your class skills. You transform into a Frozen Sea Palace Soldier with an event scroll, then fight with water balloons. Joining the event is simple, but the transformation, the attack style, and the location of the Sea Palace energy are all unlike normal combat. Once you have a handle on these, you can clear the Baby Vell challenge more smoothly and pick up gold bars, coral materials, Caphras Stones, Cron Stones, Vell's Concentrated Magic, and more.

 Sea Palace Event

Transform before anything else

The first step in the Baby Vell event is the transformation scroll. After you enter the Sea Palace, find Shellfolk Captain Durong and take the [Event] Frozen Sea Palace Soldier Transformation Scroll from him. Right-click the scroll to transform. Once transformed, your character becomes a Frozen Sea Palace Soldier and your skill bar changes with it. Your class skills no longer work in this state—the fight relies on the soldier's own attack instead.

So don't rush into the area and attack the usual way. The correct order is:

If this is your first time, transform before anything else. Without the Frozen Sea Palace Soldier form, you cannot attack effectively even standing right next to Baby Vell.

 Sea Palace Activity Task

Water balloons and where to stand

After you transform, the fight starts once Baby Vell appears. Move close and press the attack key—your character throws water balloons on its own. The balloons have an effective range, so you need to hold a good position. Too far and they miss; too close and Baby Vell's area attacks catch you. The sweet spot is mid-range—keep throwing while you step back or shift with the boss's attack range. Beyond that range, the Sea Palace also has energy that boosts your water balloons. It sits mostly on the rooftops in the higher parts of the palace. Standing inside it gives your balloons a clear damage boost.

So when fighting Baby Vell, look for the energy spot first:

Attacking from the energy zone is far more efficient than standing in one place and throwing balloons.

Baby Vell rewards

After you drive off Baby Vell, the rewards split into two kinds: a guaranteed drop and a chance-based bonus. The guaranteed drop includes gold bars, green coral, blue coral, coral pieces, Caphras Stones, and Cron Stones. These are the base materials you get just for taking part. On top of that, Baby Vell can drop Baby Vell's Roaring Bundle, though not every run. Treat it as a bonus. Right-click the bundle to open it. One of its main items is Vell's Concentrated Magic, a material with real practical value.

The bundle can also contain:

So the value of the Baby Vell event is not just the base materials—the extra items inside the bundle count too.

Is the Sea Palace event worth doing every day?

Baby Vell appears at fixed times during the event, and the exact schedule lives in the current official notice. Times can shift between event cycles, so check the latest schedule before you go. As a daily, Baby Vell is a solid pick. The base rewards are steady, and every run carries a shot at the Roaring Bundle. If you are stocking up on Caphras Stones, coral materials, or the other items inside, add this event to your daily routine. Players who already have a settled route can plan around the boss's spawn times—finish the rest of your loop first, then head to the Sea Palace.

Points to remember

Baby Vell does not lean on your class damage, so gear is not the only thing that decides your efficiency. Knowing how the event works matters more than gear.

Transform after entering: without the Frozen Sea Palace Soldier scroll, you cannot attack the way the event expects.

Drop your class skills: the skill bar switches after transforming, so throw water balloons instead.

Hold the right distance: don't stand so far that the balloons miss, and don't linger inside the boss's attack range.

Use the Sea Palace energy: find the energy zone first and attack from inside it.

Watch the schedule: Baby Vell is a timed boss, and the spawn times are in the current official notice.

The Baby Vell fight in Black Desert's Sea Palace is unlike a regular boss. You don't deal damage with your class skills—you turn into a Frozen Sea Palace Soldier first, then attack with water balloons. Using the Sea Palace energy along the way pushes your damage higher. On the rewards side, gold bars, coral materials, Caphras Stones, and Cron Stones are steady income, while Baby Vell's Roaring Bundle adds a chance-based bonus, and Vell's Concentrated Magic inside it is worth the most.
